Introduction

Anne Arundel County is currently in the process of updating its 2018 Hazard Mitigation Plan. The Anne Arundel County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is the lead agency for this planning process. Therefore, OEM is seeking input on stakeholder's concerns regarding hazards identified in the plan. This survey is being used to collect your insight and perspective on hazards identified in the plan.

Hazard mitigation is defined as any substantial action taken to reduce or eliminate the long-term risk to human life and property from the effects of natural hazards in a community. The purpose of the Hazard Mitigation Plan is to identify and implement cost-effective hazard mitigation measures through a comprehensive approach known as hazard mitigation planning. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) requires hazard mitigation plans to be updated every five years.

The survey consists of 20 questions and will take an average of 10 minutes or less to complete.
