Introduction

The Strategy Arts Equity Audit Sample is a 14-question evaluation of  best racial equity practices in your organization informed by robust community engagement. It is based on Strategy Arts' 55-question Equity Audit.

The Equity Audit is a customizable tool that was developed to measure action on implementing practices and policies directly related to racial equity, racial healing, inclusion and diversity in a collaborative, cross-sector setting but can be used to measure action in any organizational setting.

The following questions require you to determine answers to the best of your ability, based on your organization or initiative's practices, policies and/or governance.

Strategy Arts will contact you with the results of your sample audit and you are welcome to a FREE 30-minute consultation to strategize about your equity priorities.

Lived Experience Expert is referred throughout this audit and means:
Any person who brings expertise based on their experiences and choices, and the knowledge they gain from these experiences and choices. These experiences are knowledge validated as expertise and included as a perspective that merits respect.

This comes with the understanding that the Lived Experience Expert most often, if not always, identifies as either Black, Indigenous or a Person of Color. There are other equity issues present related by way of intersectionality, and those should also be thoroughly considered and included when taking the mini-evaluation. However, Strategy Arts prioritizes racial equity in its work first.
