Team Application
Resident and Associate Members of the American College of Surgeons (RAS-ACS) are invited to participate in Surgical Jeopardy at the American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress 2024.

What is Surgical Jeopardy?
Surgical Jeopardy is a knowledge-based competition of didactic surgical knowledge adapted from the American television program. Surgical Jeopardy allows teams of residents to showcase their surgical knowledge. Teams (of two persons each) representing ACS chapters and U.S.-based surgical residency programs compete to demonstrate their knowledge and win the title of Surgical Jeopardy Champion in a good-natured, friendly competition. Mark W. Bowyer, MD, FACS, a member of the ACS Committee on Trauma, Fairfax, VA, will moderate the six rounds of competition, with four teams of two surgeons each during each round.
Who is eligible to participate?
Teams (of two persons each) representing ACS chapters and U.S.-based surgical residency programs compete to demonstrate their knowledge and win the title of Surgical Jeopardy Champion in a good-natured, friendly competition.
How are teams selected?
Teams are selected on a first-come, first-served basis with priority being given to ACS Chapters or U.S.- based Surgical Programs that have not competed in the last three years, and preference is given to ACS Chapter teams.
When will the competition take place?
The competition will occur on Saturday, October 19, 2024, during the ACS 2024 Clinical Congress at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, CA. The competition runs from 8:00 am to 11:15 am PST.
