Central West Farming Systems (CWFS) is inviting members to submit supplementary feed samples (hay, silage or pasture) for nutritional analysis.
This work forms part of the Drought and Climate Resilient Sheep Farms and Landscapes project, delivered in partnership with the University of Adelaide and supported by the Australian Government's Future Drought Fund.
The aim is to build a regional feed test library and improve understanding of nutritional and economic value of supplementary feeding options for livestock enterprises in low rainfall systems.
Feed testing will be provided at no cost to participating CWFS members.
After submitting this form, CWFS will contact you to arrange sample collection or drop-off. Samples will be analysed and individual results will be provided back to you. Where possible, results will also be interpreted to estimate feeding value for different livestock classes using industry tools.
Results will support better feeding decisions, improve livestock performance and contribute to local benchmarking of feed quality.
