Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) has begun planning for future Division calendars. A key component of this work is exploring ways to incorporate time for collaboration for school staff. The Division is considering options for how best to build this collaborative time into the school year, and is looking for feedback from families and staff to help inform that decision. The survey is not intended to collect information about the date of school start-up, November Break or scheduling of Christmas Break, as the Division has previously surveyed on these topics, and past feedback was considered in the development of the two options provided in this survey. The Division will continue to have a one-week fall break, two-week Christmas break and one-week spring break each year.

The feedback gathered will be shared with the Board of Trustees to help inform their approval of the final 2025-26 and 2026-27 Division calendars in December 2024.
