Beach Associations within the Lake Drive Shoreline Action Plan

The Town of Georgina is asking for feedback from beach association members to help guide Council decisions related to the Lake Drive Shoreline Action Plan. 

The Town is moving forward with the Action Plan with the goal of resolving longstanding shoreline title issues along Lake Drive North and East.

Beach associations with the Action Plan Area
About 27 beach associations exclusively use shoreline land within the Action Plan Area. Beach associations are vital community groups involved in preserving and conserving shoreline land along Lake Drive. Ownership uncertainties around exclusive shoreline use can pose significant challenges.

Engaging with beach associations
The Town values input from beach association members. You are invited to complete this survey to share your feedback on potential approaches to land used by beach associations within the Action Plan Area.

After collecting input from beach association members, Town staff will analyze feedback received and provide Council with a comprehensive summary in Q1 2024. Council will determine next steps.
