• Why are we conducting this survey? This survey is designed to gather input from our congregation specifically about resolutions passed at the spring 2024 General Conference that involve local church action. We are asking you to share your thoughts about issues that will steer the future direction of our church in matters of human sexuality.
Responses must be received by Dec 2, 2024.

• What are the specific petitions that our church is asked to address? We are using this survey to gauge our congregation’s views regarding the 2024 UM General Conference, specifically the legislation that removed LGBTQ restrictions and the impacts it may have on our church in terms of use of the facility and selection of pastors.

• Who is involved in the analysis of survey results? This survey is presented on behalf of the CUMC Discipleship Council, Board of Trustees, Staff Parish Relations Committee, and Pastor Jake Steele. Survey results will be reviewed, compiled, and summarized by a team from these committees. A summary compilation will be shared with the congregation. A compilation of all responses will be available for review.

• How will the results of this survey be used? The actions of the 2024 General Conference that involve local church input are presented in this survey so that our whole congregation can share their views that will help guide future church policies related to human sexuality.
