Gundagai residents are invited to bring the spirit of Christmas to the streets by decorating their homes with twinkling lights and displays over the Christmas period! This Competition is open to all residences in Gundagai and the villages of Tumblong, Nangus, Coolac and Muttama. Entry is FREE! 

There will be three $100 Gift Vouchers up for grabs, with winners being from the following categories;
1 x best decorated home (town)
1x best themed display (town)
1 x best village home display

JUDGING AND CRITERIA:
Entries into the Gundagai Christmas Light Competition with close on Friday 17th of December. Judging of the best decorated home (town), best themed display (town) & best village home display will be held on Sunday 19th of December 2021. You must register to have your residence judged.

Judging will be conducted by Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council & Gundagai Neighbourhood Centre representatives on the criteria of visual street appeal, overall impact, variety of decorations and safety and tidiness. Entrants should have their light displays on between 8:30pm and 11:00pm during the judging period. All entrants must display their property number in clear view of the street.

The judges reserve the right to grant merit awards at their discretion to recognise significant houses or businesses within the Gundagai area over and above the listed categories.

The winners of each category will be announced on Tuesday 21st of December in the Gundagai Independent.
The three winners will each receive a $100.00 gift voucher proudly donated by the Cootamundra Gundagai Regional Council.
