We're excited to support you in preparing for NEXT STEPS to Uni 2025! To learn more about this program from whānau and rangatahi, watch the below video:

Purpose of Next Steps to Uni! 2025
  1. Support whānau travelling from out of Auckland.
  2. Connect with other whānau and rangatahi.
  3. Experience two nights in a university hall.
  4. Understand the MAPAS General Interview process.
  5. Reflect on MAPAS recommendations.

Whakapiki Ake Offers:
  • 1x Free Parking in OGGB carpark.
  • Van Service: Pick-up and drop-off between the carpark and Waiparūrū halls.
  • Guidance: WPA staff and tuākana will escort you to MAPAS General Interviews (MGI)
  • Free accommodation for two nights. (Note: Once confirmed, please commit to your as it impacts our budget.)
    • Check-in: Thursday after 12PM (registration required.)
    • Meals Included: Two dinners and breakfasts
    • Amenities: Linen, pillows and blankets provided (feel free to bring an extra cuddly)
  • Friday Night: MAPAS recommendation reflection and karakia whakamutunga.
  • Saturday: Breakfast and check-out by 10AM

* 6. MAPAS interviews will be conducted on the City Campus, and most whānau will be able to walk (1.2 km/15 mins) to the marae/venue.

* 7. Are you driving to NEXT STEPS to UNI 2025?
WPA offers one free exit ticket for parking at OGGB Grafton Road. Please let us know if you need an exit parking ticket. These tickets are provided before departure from MGI or upon checkout from the halls.
