Aamjiwnaang First Nation (AFN) Land Use Plan Implementation Survey |
Welcome to the Aamjiwnaang First Nation (AFN) Land Use Plan Implementation Survey
Since 2020, Aamjiwnaang First Nation has been working on a Land Use Plan (LUP) for the Aamjiwnaang First Nation Reserve that will help guide sustainable development on reserve lands for the long-term future. The LUP includes policies and direction on development to help navigate development constraints and opportunities on AFN community lands.
There are some unanswered questions about how we would want to put the new LUP into action and language used. For example: How will land development be approved and take place?
In order for the LUP to be an effective tool that guides our future towards self determination, we need to understand and agree on how it will be adhered to by members, administration and leadership. This survey will allow us to gather feedback from Aamjiwnaang community members. Your input will help in drafting the implementation needs and approach.
Please complete the survey before December 1, 2023 to be entered for a chance to win a prize! You can either send the completed survey to Danielle Nahdee via email or drop the survey off at the Band Office.
