A future middle/high nonprofit public charter school, Southeast Volusia School of Science and Technology (SEV Sci-Tech), is being proposed for Volusia County to open in August 2020. This proposed innovative science and technology school will continue the academic success of the well-established ” A” rated K-8 Burns Science and Technology Charter School that draws students, primarily, from the eastside of the county.
The Southeast middle/high school’s focus will be a STEM project-based school with interdisciplinary units of study. The goal is to develop responsible citizens who will be world-class workers and leaders through college and career ready curriculum in the areas of engineering and computer systems, manufacturing, as well as, biomedical innovations and health sciences.
Please respond to the following survey questions that will help with the planning to establish this new charter middle/high school. This proposed charter will be located in the Edgewater area and will serve Southeast Volusia and surrounding areas.
