The Arts Education Alliance (AEA) is a growing coalition of educators, arts organizations, and artists who believe that every student deserves access to arts education. We know the arts demonstrate an undisputed power to improve students’ test scores and graduation rates, enhance their job readiness, and change their lives for the better. And that makes Sonoma County a better community for us all.
The AEA is gathering input from key stakeholders to understand the state of arts education in the county. This survey is a key part of our strategy. Your input is valuable and we appreciate you sharing your opinion.
For the purpose of this survey, “arts classes” refers to dance, design, visual arts, etc., classes. “Arts integration” refers to an approach to teaching where students connect and demonstrate understanding through an art form; an arts integrated lesson connects an art form and other subject area, and meets learning objectives of both areas. “Arts specialists” refers to individuals or organizations not based at your school.
