Introduction

Thank you for your interest in the Philadelphia STEM Equity Collective and to our commitment to increase the number of Black, Latinx and women Philadelphians going into STEM careers by 2030. 

This application is for the Philadelphia STEM Equity Collective's Student Advisory Council. The goal of this Council is to guide the efforts of the Collective through the student voice. The twelve members of the Student Council will help guide strategies and provide feedback on their effectiveness for the beneficiaries of the Collective.  Student participation is so important that two students from the council will be part of the Collective's Steering Committee.

The following information* is required for applying to the Collective's Student Advisory Council:
     - Completion of all questions in this application.  There are four open-ended questions as part of this application:
      1. What is one issue you would like to see improved in your school or community?   (250 word limit)
      2. Who is a role model in your life and why? (100 word limit)
      3. What other out-of-school time activities do you participate in?  (If any)
      4. Why do you want to be part of the Student Advisory Council for the Collective? (250 word limit)
     - Uploading a pdf of your most recent grades
     - One (1) recommendations from a teacher, community member or a counselor through this link HERE which you will share with your reference.
     - Permission from your parent/guardian to apply through this link HERE which you will share with them.
