Your Ideas for Renton Parks and Recreation

The City of Renton is updating its Parks, Recreation, and Open Space (PROS) Plan to guide the future of Renton’s parks, recreational services, and natural areas while ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the community. The PROS Plan outlines Renton's vision, goals, priorities, and a framework for park investments and system operations. Updated every six years to comply with Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) guidelines, the plan keeps Renton eligible for critical grant funding. The current update will be completed no later than March 1, 2026, to meet RCO requirements.

Renton Parks and Recreation provides a wide variety of amenities and services across the city, including playgrounds and a skatepark, sports courts and ballfields, water access and boat launches, trails and pathways, picnic facilities, community and senior centers, shelters, a golf course, a museum, and diverse recreation and volunteer opportunities. Renton also manages natural areas and open spaces that promote environmental health and enhance community enjoyment.

Now’s your chance to help shape the future! Your input can help create a PROS Plan that advances community health and well-being, equitable access and inclusion, environmental resilience, and economic vitality—enhancing the quality of life for all Renton residents.

What are your ideas? Share your vision for Renton parks, trails, and open space. This survey will take about 10 minutes.
