Our first rehabilitation networking session will be scheduled for November 2018. This session, which is in addition to the quarterly committee meetings, is designed to promote more in-depth exploration of topics or specific issues, many of which tend to be more operational in nature. For example, therapists may want to convene to discuss with one another how they are handling group therapy, concurrent therapy, telehealth, documentation, etc. Or CEO’s and CFO’s may want to convene to discuss the FY ’19 final IRF PPS payment rule and how specific provisions will impact them and their hospital or a discussion on value-based purchasing. Human Resource staff could come together to discuss HIPAA, social media in the work place, other policies, etc. The topics for discussion are endless and the outcome from sharing and learning from others doing similar jobs is invaluable.
