Your green spaces in Redbrick Housing

Thank you for completing this short feedback form that will feed into initial landscape designs for The Butterfly Garden, Wildflower Meadow and Wildlife Sanctuary green spaces.

Please note; a consultation on improvements to the three communal spaces ran from 18 September 2023 and ended on 16 October 2023. We are now in a different period of engagement which is delivered by Groundwork UK.

You may remember you were given the opportunity to complete a survey around June 2024 from Groundwork which asked you for the important things you want to see in the greenspaces at Redbrick and what you were willing to compromise on.

We have taken that information and produced the following list of priorities along with a preliminary sketch design:
  • Locking of the spaces at night times
  • Commitment from the council to manage any ASB in the communal spaces
  • Improving biodiversity with opportunities for learning about nature (particularly, not exclusively, for children).
  • A space for nature to thrive but in a managed way & for the benefit of people and nature
  • Play equipment children under 5, including for those with special educational needs, situated in the wildflower meadow.
  • Restoring the wildflower meadow
  • Improved sight lines to help ensure safety and security
  • No seating or opportunity to gather in the Butterfly Garden and with limited pathways

We are now keen to move forward with you and expand further on the priorities. Please complete the following survey by Friday 7th March 2025 and look out for the 2 workshops we will be running on Thursday 13th February (5.00pm-6.30pm) and one on Thursday 27th February (5.00pm-6.30pm) where we can speak to you in person.
