Award Specifications:
The amount to be awarded is for (2) two semesters; half of the funds are designated for the 2022 Fall semester and the other half for the 2023 Spring semester.
The committee has a right to increase or decrease the amount of the scholarship determined by available funds.
Student Eligibility:
In order to be eligible to apply for the scholarship, student must:
• be a US citizen
• be a Louisiana resident
• be eligible to enter into the clinical portion of the nursing program in the fall semester or already be enrolled in the clinical portion
• have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater including grades from the 2022 Spring semester
• attend UL Lafayette or LSU-Eunice
In order for a student to receive the second portion of the scholarship, he/she must complete the fall semester as a full-time student (full-time status determined by academic entity) and have a minimum 2.5 semester GPA.
Students enrolled in one of the advanced practice nursing programs at UL Lafayette are eligible to apply if they meet the above criteria.
Scholarship Selection Committee:
The Committee will consist of Woman’s Foundation Inc. Board of Directors members as appointed to the Scholarship Committee by the President of the Board each year. The Selection Committee will meet annually between June - September to select the next school year’s recipient.
Scholarship Administration:
One-half of the amount awarded will be disbursed to one or more student(s) at the beginning of the Fall semester and the second half of the amount awarded will be disbursed at the beginning of the subsequent Spring semester.
The scholarship requires that the recipient(s) post a minimum 2.5 GPA as a full-time student (full-time status to be determined by academic entity) during the Fall semester of the scholarship year in order to validate the second half of the scholarship payment. The committee has a right to modify administration of scholarship funds.
By submitting an application, student authorizes their school, LSU Eunice or UL Lafayette to release the above information, including transcript, to the Woman's Foundation Scholarship committee. In addition, if selected, student also authorizes their school to release subsequent grade reports to Woman's Foundation to verify the distribution of the second half of scholarship funds. Student also understands incomplete applications may not be considered. Student also agrees to allow Woman's Foundation to follow up in a year on the status of employment and/or career path to share with the Scholarship Committee.

Media Release:
By submitting an application, the student agrees to allow Woman's Foundation rights to use their name and/or image in marketing, advertising, and communication internally and externally. Student names and/or images will be used for informative purposes only.
