Program Survey

The Parks & Recreation Department is seeking your opinion. We want to put on the best programs we can for the community and want to hear your feedback on what type of programs you want to see in town.

Rec Programs for all the sports hosted in town

Year-Round Kids Club- Get together for an evening or afternoon biweekly all year round for games, crafts, socialize.

Group Activities - Teaming up with the 55+ for crafts and activities, a pen pal program

Christmas Activity Days- We can host a few Christmas themed activity days to free up some time for the parents to shop

Playground Program- Once the warmer weather comes back, we can schedule some game days on the playgrounds around town.

Job Fair- Good for both younger and older children could plan a job fair for the little guys to see what there parents do but also as a learning/ hiring experience for the older youth in town.

Movies in the Hall- We can bring a screen into the hall and host kids movies

Beach Activities - "Dino" Bone Digs, Sandcastle Builds

Wine Tasting Event Night - Would be an adult only formal event. Socliaze, drink wine, play games ect...

Ladies Night Group- Meet once a month for an activity night ladies only. Events like paint nights, potting/planting, skating, "bake free" baking nights, golfing, movie nights, ect...

Craft Shows- Can look into hosting craft shows at the Sunrise Credit Union Centre.

Movie Nights - Can look into bringing in a screen to host movies at the hall

Pickleball and Badminton leagues in the Sunrise Credit Union Centre during the summer

Drop in Adult only Rec Programs - Soccer, slow pitch, skating, sticks & pucks, badminton, pickleball, basketball ect...

Adults only Craft Nights - Paint with fire, paint nights, knitting, small woodworking, soap/potato sculpting, ect...

Talent Show - Could host a town talent show in the hall

Running/Biking clubs

Public Events - Paint the parking lot at Sunrise Credit Union Centre with chalk paint, Car smashes,

Team Competition Activities - Trivia nights, Amazing Race/ Scavenger Hunt

Family Activities- Mother/Son, Father/Daughter (vis versa), Full Family crafts, games and activities

Yoga- Kids to Adult Programs
