ATLAS for Candidates

The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards offers free access to an ATLAS (Accomplished Teaching, Learning, and Schools®) video case for each National Board certificate area. Candidates and those supporting them can access these cases during their National Board certification journey.

Upon registration, users access a curated selection of ATLAS cases, including videos and written commentary illustrating National Board standards in practice. Cases numbered 3,000 and above reflect the current National Board assessment, while those below 3,000 were added before 2014 and are examples of the previous evaluation.

The educators featured in these cases offer valuable insights into effective teaching. We ask all viewers to respect these materials, and the professionals represented, as they would a colleague's work.

ATLAS video cases serve as examples only. Candidates' portfolio submissions should demonstrate their own instructional practices and student engagement.
