What:
Challenge Question: How might we offer high-value membership to busy professionals in our community?
Where:
Choose a place that is comfortable, quiet and conveniently located for both parties.
Examples: Coffee shops, schools, local restaurants, workplaces, etc.
When:
Determine the timeframe for your interviews. We recommend at least 30 minutes, but no longer than 60 minutes. Respect your interviewee’s time--stay true to the timeframe promised!
Why:
The insight gained from your interviews will be shared with your group through an ideation workshop. You will be asked to upload your notes from each interview to a Survey portal in preparation for the August 1st workshop.
How:
Ask open-ended questions pertaining to your challenge question. Dig deep with your questions—the more insight you gain, the better your ideation will be with the larger group. It would be ideal to have 2 people to interview the interviewee: one person to ask questions and one to take detailed notes.

Dear __________,
As you know, I am a member of Roseville Rotary Club. To better understand our value to the community, we are doing a survey about what member engagement means to different people in our community. If you are open to it, I’d like to ask you a few broad questions about your engagement in the community. Would you be available to meet for 30 minutes sometime in the next week? I can meet you at a location most convenient for you.
Thank you in advance for your consideration! Your time and input is very important to us.
