Overview
Thank you for your interest in the 2025 Remembering Our Sisters Fellowship! The program is a 6-month fellowship running from March 2025 to September 2025. We invite female and femme-identifying Native youth (ages 18-24) to apply.

Fellowship Details
**Trigger Warning: Mentions of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit+ (MMIWG2S+)

Six female and femme-identifying Native youth will be chosen to participate in the Remembering Our Sisters Fellowship. The fellows will create digital art and visual storytelling projects aimed at raising awareness about the epidemic of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit+ (MMIWG2S+). These projects will utilize various mediums, including digital art, filmmaking, photography, painting, toolkits, murals, sewing, beadwork etc.

Through the development and promotion of their personal projects, Native female and femme-identifying youth will enhance their professional and digital skills. They will receive technical support from the CNAY team, which includes customized training, mentorship, and opportunities to connect with leaders in the MMIWG2S+ movement, while also engaging with other femme-identifying youth from across the nation.

Moreover, participants will gain access to a national social media platform to showcase and elevate their work.

Expectations

The Fellowship requires commitment and time from each selected Fellow.

CNAY expects Fellows to attend the following:
  1. Remembering Our Sisters Virtual Week (March 10-14, 2025): All selected Fellows are requested to attend four 90-minute nightly Zoom meetings to kick-off the program.
  2. Monthly Zoom Sessions: All selected Fellows are requested to attend monthly 60-minute Zoom meetings where they will network with one another, learn from MMIWG2S+ leaders and activists and receive support for their projects.
  3. In-Person Closing Convening (September 24-27, 2025): All selected Fellows are requested to attend the final closing convening. CNAY will pay for all lodging, travel and food costs associated with the event.
Application Details
The application will close on January 15, 2025 at 11:59PM PST.

In total, we ask you to answer 18 questions and submit a short video.
You will not be able to save your application once you have started. We recommend writing answers to your application questions elsewhere and copy and pasting them here when you're ready to submit.
