Calling all parents of Native American Students!

The Choctaw Nation has a grant program available in your child's school to provide culturally relevant education and native enrichment activities. Please use this form to register your child(ren) to participate in the Choctaw Nation's RISE program. All middle and high school Native American students in Hartshorne, Talihina, and Wright City schools are eligible to participate in several free RISE opportunities and activities this year. Major RISE activities this year will include the Career and Exploration Elective Class, academic support, native enrichment, industry-specific training, test prep skills, and hands-on activities/kits that will be mailed to your home during the year. RISE also plans to offer summer activities and trips. Last year the summer trip was to Washington DC and New York City. You and your child can opt-in to any activity RISE hosts throughout the year. Project RISE will offer several activities for Native American students this year.  Activities will include Cultural Enrichment, STEM Awareness, Academic Support, College and Career Awareness, ACT Test Preparation, Industry-Specific Training, Concurrent Enrollment, and Summer Enrichment.
