Welcome to our second survey on Research Integrity with a focus on retractions. This instalment of the global study aims to understand the impact and response around ethical misconduct in the research community.

Survey Objectives:

1. Assessing Awareness and Advocacy: We aim to evaluate the awareness and availability of ethical guidelines and training provided by institutions, as well as the stages of the research process where these guidelines are consulted.

2. Evaluating Reporting and Addressing Misconduct: We seek to understand the support for a common regulatory body, identify responsibilities for addressing ethical breaches, and explore challenges in reporting and resolving research misconduct.

3. Understanding the Impact of Retractions: This objective focuses on assessing the impact of retractions on the scientific community, identifying reasons for retractions, and proposing measures to reduce research misconduct.

4. Role of Editors, Peer Reviewers, and Publishers: We aim to explore how these stakeholders can promote responsible research practices, the challenges they face, and the potential benefits and concerns of integrating technology in the peer review process.
