REU Information:
Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) programs support active research participation by undergraduate students in STEM fields that are funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). REU projects involve students in meaningful ways in ongoing research programs or in research projects specifically designed for the REU program. This program provides educational and funding opportunities for community college students. This program is a non-residential program to be held on the Northeastern main campus in Boston, MA.
Application Process: To be considered as an applicant, fully complete the following application. Within the application (page 2) you will be asked to upload documents: transcript, resume, statement of purpose). In addition, we ask for your recommender (1 total, page 3) email address - we will request a recommendation from them (make sure they know to expect an email from stem@northeastern.edu). Applications close March 1st, 2024 (we will accept recommendations until March 8th). We will notify all applicants of their acceptance status by March 15th.
Eligibility: Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the United States. In addition, applicants must be a community college student in good standing. Please note: this is strictly a commuter program - housing will not be provided - and you will be expected to come to campus four days a week.
