REAL – Resilience, Empowerment and Active Leadership |
Survey for Community Organisations, CSO and Volunteer Involving Organisations
REAL is an Erasmus+ project created by partners from six European countries. We are passionate about providing all communities with the tools they need to be resilient, not only in times of need, but to also provide a sense of consistent robustness and strength.
The REAL Erasmus+ project is interested in researching the current situation of Community Resilience in your local area, community and country. This is in order that we can analyse a wide variety of experiences to assist the project in developing informative documentation on the subject of Community Resilience and therefore strengthen communities.
We would really appreciate it, if you could take the time to answer some questions on the subject of Community Resilience, thinking of your own specific Community and what your understanding of the concept means to you and/or your organisation.
Firstly though, please take some time to read about our understanding and concept of the meaning of Community Resilience.
What is Community Resilience?
Community Resilience is the ability of a community to cope with and recover from challenges such as natural disasters or man-made disasters. It means being prepared, adapting to changes, and working together to bounce back quickly. Strong social connections, good leadership, reliable infrastructure, and the ability to adjust to new situations are key parts of community resilience. Overall, it's about a community's strength and flexibility to be able to overcome difficulties and continue moving forward.
