OVERVIEW

The Victorian Golf Club of the Year Award is designed to recognise excellence in all aspects relating to the management and operations of a facility, as well as administering financial success of a golf club over the past 12 months. The award will be presented at the annual Victorian Golf Industry Awards Dinner.

CRITERIA

Nominations should consider the following criteria with evidence provided (note: evidence refers to a 200 word maximum description regarding the nomination):
  • Membership retention & growth
  • Financial performance
  • Clubhouse operations
  • Golf course operations
  • Contribution to the community
  • Support of national development/ pathway programmes

Supporting evidence should relate to activity and achievements of the past 12 months.

Nominated clubs must be a Victorian financial affiliated member.

NOMINATION PROCESS

Golf Australia (Victoria) will call for nominations from its members. Golf Clubs may be nominated by a club representative, staff, management, PGA Club/ Teaching Professionals or other person with detailed knowledge of the club's success. All nominations shall be submitted via the online nomination for and accompanied by a supporting letter from the Golf Club (Management or Director) along with a color photo of the club.

Nominations close 5pm 30 September 2024

SELECTION PROCESS

Each nomination will be reviewed by the Award Selection Panel wo will determine four finalists and the winner in each category. The Award Selection Panel will consist of representatives from various industry bodies.

AWARD PRESENTATION

The announcement of Victorian Golf Club of the Year will be made at the 2024 Victorian Golf Industry Awards Dinner on 31 October 2024 at Southern Golf Club.

A representative from each of the finalists will be invited to the Victorian Golf Industry Awards Dinner as guests of Golf Australia.

Please note: Awards night invitation for finalists does not include accommodation or travel allowance.
