Making & Donating Cat Cozy Blankets (or cat wands)

Thanks for your interest in making and donating cat blankets for RASKC's feline residents!

If you might be interested in making and donating cat wands too (or instead of blankets), that's terrific too!

If you would like to receive community-service credit, it would be important to contact Sarah L about scheduling your time to deliver the blankets (and/or wands) to her: Sarah.Luthens@kingcounty.gov; texts welcome at 206-225-4899.

  • RASKC credits one hour for each cat blanket that is made and donated only if the delivery is scheduled in advance with Sarah L..

  • RASKC credits one hour for each set of six cat wands that is made and donated only if the delivery is schedule in advance with Sarah L..

  • Deliveries are never available on Fridays or Sundays.

  • Note: Delivery dates of items for community-service credit are also not available during April 11- 21.

If you do not need community-service credit, you are most welcome to deliver the items any afternoon (except major holidays) - weekdays 12- 6pm; weekends 12-5pm to RASKC, 21615-64th Ave. S, Kent, WA.

The cat wands provide a terrific way for cats and kittens to interact with potential adopters and with volunteers. The felines love this kind of enrichment!

You would purchase the materials for the wands and make them at a location other than RASKC. Here's a link that teaches you how to make cat wands.
