An Investigation of the Use of Digital Technologies by Initial Teacher Education Students |
Introduction
'Readiness and Practice' (RAP) is an 18-month study, funded by The Standing Conference on Teacher Education North and South (SCoTENS), which aims to explore ITE students' readiness for teaching and learning in a digital world. As part of this research initiative we are keen to receive feedback on your current and prior experiences of using ICT in the university and also on school placements. All your responses will be treated as confidential and your anonymity is assured in the reporting of the results.
The survey consists of 6 short sections and will take the average respondent approximately 30 minutes to complete. By completing the survey, you are consenting to participate and for your data to be used in reports to SCoTENS, conference presentations or academic papers. No individual or organisation will be identified in any reports, presentations or papers. You have the right to withdraw at any time during this survey until you click the final Submit button. Non-participation in the survey will have no impact on your final ITE qualification.
In addition, the study will offer a subgroup of ITE students an opportunity to participate in a focus group as phase 2 of the research.
If you are willing to participate in this second phase of the study, please include your name and university email address in the space provided at the end of the survey.
Thank you in advance for your interest and for taking the time to complete this survey.
