Raleigh Tamale 2024 - Competition Form

Welcome to the 2024 Raleigh Tamale Festival, a celebration of Latino culture in the heart of downtown Raleigh! This vibrant event attracts a diverse audience with its blend of performances, family activities, and a bustling marketplace featuring food trucks and vendors. The highlight? An exciting tamale competition, where community members compete for the best tamale in Raleigh.

All entries must be submitted by September 8, 2024. Entry space is limited. There will be prizes for first, second, and third place!

Event Details:

The event is September 21, 2-6 p.m., at Moore Square.
No tamales submitted at the competition will be served to the public.
Tamales can be made with any filling; however, only one type of tamale per person will be judged.
All participants must be 18 years of age or older.
All participants must prepare a minimum of 11 tamales.
By submitting your entry form, you are guaranteeing that the tamales were made by you and not bought from an outside source.
For allergy reasons, all ingredients must be listed.
Participants are expected to attend the entire event. They will be provided table space to decorate and display their “tamale plate” during the event.
Participants are responsible for cleaning their area afterward.
Decisions are the sole responsibility of the judges and are final.
Prizes will be received within 30 business days.
