The Leadership 2.0 Scholars Program is a comprehensive program that seeks to increase the number of economically disadvantaged, first-generation, underrepresented gender, ethnic, and/or LGBTQ+ students in the College of Nursing, while helping such students achieve academic excellence in college and beyond. The program includes fully paid summer bridge program (includnig exploring some of Cincinnati's most known summer social life hot spots for college students like a Cincinnati Red's game, King Island, lunch at Findlay Market, and more), and campus-wide academic support, retention activities, and academic preparation for some of Nursing's most difficult classes for first-year students.
To be considered for acceptance to the Leadership 2.0 Scholars Program, incoming first-year students must have been offered admission to the University of Cincinnati and meet two of the following criteria:
To be considered for acceptance to the Leadership 2.0 Scholars Program, incoming first-year students must have been offered admission to the University of Cincinnati and meet two of the following criteria:
- First-generation college student
- Member of an underrepresented group with regard to race, ethnicity, tribal background or heritage, male gender, or LGBTQ+
- Financial need as determined by FAFSA
Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply before the January 15, 2025 deadline. Interviews will be scheduled on a rolling basis beginning in February. Applicants and parents will be interviewed in person or via a live digital connection. Each interview will be 30 minutes. You will receive additional information by February 28, 2025 regarding your application.
