This form gives you the info and enables you to enrol directly with us. Please note though, we will send your enrolment to your Ministry Educator for approval.
If you choose a course in another Diocese, because of space and logistics this will need to be subject to the approval of the Ministry Educator for that Diocese. Some costs may be incurred for catering and/or accommodation. Your Ministry Educator will notify you of these in advance.
If this is your first enrolment with St John's, please also fill out the Application for Admission form through the relevant link by clicking here.
St John's reserves the right to cancel courses subject to insufficient enrolments.
DEFINING THE TERMS "AUDIT" and "CREDIT":
AUDIT means participating in the course, attending workshops, watching video links and reading material, but there is no requirement to do assignments. At least 80% attendance or viewing of lectures online (for FlexiLearn) is required.
CREDIT means that you participate in the course, with at least 80% attendance AND complete the assignments. If you pass every assignment, you gain credit for the course. The NZ Diploma of Christian Studies comprises 120 credits, with the papers varying between 5 and 15 credits, where one credit is equivalent to 10 learning hours.
Generally, 5 credit courses have one assignment, 10 credit courses have two, and 15 credit courses have up to 3.
If you choose to do a single course or courses for personal interest, for credit, that credit will be recognised if you decide to enrol for the Diploma.
*Where the course code is RED, this means the course is compulsory for completion of the NZ Diploma in Christian Studies.
