The information presented in this survey is based on compiled input on the top coastal challenges and research priorities for the next decade, which were collected during the recent 2024 USCRP Decadal Visioning Workshop and through pre-workshop scoping sessions.

The purpose of this survey is to gather additional perspectives and feedback from the coastal research community. We aim to ensure the top coastal challenges for the next decade are identified and to prioritize the applied and basic research needed to address these science gaps. Our approach will ultimately work towards a consensus on a blueprint for the Future of Coastal Processes Research report.
