1. What to expect in this survey
Thank you for participating in this survey. We anticipate it will take 10 minutes and your feedback will be invaluable! We recommend that you download the ISTE Standards PDF as a reference as you read through the draft updates.
The survey is broken up into sections:
Section 1: Demographics
Section 2: How ISTE Standards address emerging technologies
Section 3: Modifications to 3 student indicators
Section 4: Modifications to 4 educator indicators
Section 5: Modifications to 2 coach and 1 leader indicator
Sections 1 through 3 are required to complete the survey. You will have an opportunity to skip section 4 and exit the survey.
Methodology for updating ISTE Standards
ISTE+ASCD’s approach to updating the ISTE Standards is now incremental and more frequent to ensure they remain as a current, relevant and impactful guide for learning and teaching during an era of rapid change in education.
We started with ISTE+ASCD’s Transformational Learning Principles, grounded in learning science and evidence-based practices, to identify where the ISTE Standards could be strengthened to expand opportunities for students to apply their learning and educators to be responsive to student strengths and identities.
We will identify new areas of focus in future updates.
