Local Roads Survey for Arawata and Surrounding Communities, May 2024

Survey Purpose:

The inaugural Arawata Community Hall local roads survey received a terrific response in 2023, and the results greatly assisted with our road improvement needs discussions with the South Gippsland Council. We wish to continue what we've started and run a similar survey on an annual basis in order to assess change and better understand major issues with our local roads. An Arawata Community Hall Local Roads sub-committee was formed in 2023 for the purpose of collecting information from our local community members, the road users, on your recent experiences.

We're lucky to live in a stunning part of Victoria. With this comes steep topography and winding, narrow roads, many of which are unsealed. Our region's population in recent years has expanded, and as such, so too has the use of our transport routes.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could spend a few minutes to complete this short, voluntary, anonymous survey, which is being made available to local community members and road users of Arawata and surrounding communities. Results will be collated to build a profile of trends of local community views on roads and road safety. With your participation, this community survey provides very useful supporting information for future discussions with relevant authorities so we can all help to address well-founded concerns which are illustrated in collated results.

Thank you in advance for participating in our survey. Your feedback is highly valued and important. For your information the collated results following the survey close date will be made available by email or viewing the Arawata Community Hall facebook page.
