You cannot see, smell, or taste nitrates. Boiling water does not remove nitrates. If offered the opportunity to have your well tested for nitrates at no cost to you, would you participate in that program?

* 9. A water fill station is a vending machine or kiosk that dispenses drinking water at no cost to the user. A water system meeting state and federal drinking water standards provides the water for the fill station. Those who use the vending machine provide their own containers ranging from sports bottles up to 5-gallon containers. Would you be willing to visit a fill station to obtain safe drinking water.

Residents may be required to meet certain criteria in order to receive bottled-water deliveries. Would you be willing to have bottled water deliveries for safe drinking water?

* 13. A Point of Use Treatment System includes installation of a treatment unit under the sink where water is provided in the household for drinking or cooking (i.e. under the kitchen sink). A Point of Use System requires periodic maintenance (i.e. filter cartridge replacement) by a qualified water treatment vendor. A third-party qualified water treatment provider will work directly with the household for installation and maintenance. The Point of Use System and maintenance would be available at no cost to the household, this cost will be covered by the Kings Water Alliance and their partners. Would you be willing to have a Point of Use Treatment System installed for safe drinking water?
