Organized by the AIABaltimore Committee on the Environment and Resiliency (COTE | R)

The Safety Assessment Program (SAP) utilizes architects and engineers as volunteers to assist local governments in safety evaluation of their built environment in the aftermath of a disaster. The program is managed by Cal OES, and has been hosted by AIABaltimore in the past to train over 30 Maryland architects as SAP Evaluators. This year, the Committee on the Environment and Resiliency (COTE | R) wants to survey our members to see if there is interest in holding a SAP training here in Baltimore again this spring.

Training is intended for new Evaluators who have not taken the course in the past. (If you have previously taken the course and need to renew your credential, you can renew by taking a course online at https://w3.calema.ca.gov/RespRecover/sapreg.nsf/SAPRegistrationEval3?OpenForm

The course is 8 hours long and held on a Saturday morning in Baltimore city.  It is worth 8 HSW CEUs.

The cost of the course will include the cost for books, course materials and lunch, approximately as much as $60-75 per person depending on how many people sign up for the course and what kind of sponsorship we can get for the event.

Question Title
