AIRAH is committed to celebrating and promoting the achievements of women in Australian HVAC&R. This is part of our ongoing advocacy work to encourage diversity and inclusion in the HVAC&R industry.
For International Women's Day 2022 on March 8, the theme is #BreakTheBias.
Bias – whether it happens deliberately or is an unconscious action – makes it difficult for women to move ahead and achieve equality and recognition.
We are collecting stories of bias in the HVAC&R building services industry from our members and the public in an effort to show its impact, and as a way to educate everyone on the lasting effects of our words and actions. We are also keen to hear about ways you think the industry can help break the bias.
If you have a story or experience to share, we invite you to do so here. Regardless of gender, everyone is welcome to contribute.
Please note: We have provided space for you to include your name, but this is completely optional. If no name is left, your response will remain anonymous.
Stories may be shared on our International Women's Day page, in our publications, and through our socials.
Please join us in the call to #BreakTheBias as we create a world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
