The goal of this survey is to determine the current scope of services available to unaccompanied youth and young adults (ages 14 – 24) who are experiencing homelessness in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and to estimate the current spending statewide on unaccompanied homeless youth. An unaccompanied homeless youth is defined as a youth who lacks a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence and is NOT in the physical custody of a parent or guardian OR in the custody of a state agency. The results of this survey will support current legislation to obtain state dollars to support unaccompanied homeless youth.
