Advisory board of oversight for law enforcement with people of color.

Work to improve community relations with those safety departments to make sure that youth and people of color feel respected, cared for and valued by those systems instead of feeling disrespected, harassed, or even scared by them.

Start conversations with our local Police and Sheriff departments and scrutinize how those public safety systems are working to make sure that the violence is not happening in our own backyard.

Learn about police training, particularly as it pertains to education and de-escalation (if in place), demilitarization and local recruitment as all these are linked to police violence

Racial affinity learning groups for educators and providers in our communities. In racial affinity, people can express their questions, learnings without traumatizing other racial groups, specifically people of color. Learning groups could include discussions based on readings, podcasets, videos, etc.
