Theme: “Evidence-Based Strategies for Sustainable Climate Financing in Africa”

The 33rd Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors (BoG) of the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) is scheduled for October 11th, 2024, in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. The main objective of this meeting is to establish broad policy and strategic direction for the Foundation. This meeting will also serve as an opportunity to present an update on the Foundation’s 2023 activities and Financial Statements as well as demonstrate ACBF’s ongoing relevance. The Foundation will launch the African Capacity Building Academy, the go-to learning and knowledge sharing community for Africa’s public servants and professionals. The Academy will equip Africa’s public servants to serve African citizens, by assisting governments to develop a culture and practice of excellent government and to transform public policy and delivery on the continent.

Ahead of the BOG Meeting, the 2024 Africa Think Tank Summit will be held on 8th-10th of October. The summit is a key event organized by ACBF together with its partners to promote peer-learning, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among think tankers, policymakers, researchers, practitioners, the private sector, development partners, and other key stakeholders from across Africa and beyond to explore, discuss, and develop practical solutions to critical developmental issues faced by African countries. The Summit takes a collaborative and action-oriented approach, fostering partnerships and developing concrete solutions for Africa's challenges.
