Call for Proposals

Healthy Minds | Healthy Campuses looks forward to holding our next biennial Summit on Feb. 25-27, 2025. This will be a virtual summit. Its theme will be Achieving whole campus community engagement in mental health promotion in our post-secondary settings.

This theme emphasizes the importance of creating a campus-wide approach to mental health promotion that goes beyond traditional models of individual deficit. By shifting the focus to a collective, community-driven model, the intent is to empower post-secondary institutions to engage all members of the campus—students, faculty, staff, and administration—in fostering an inclusive, supportive environment where mental health and safer use of substances is prioritized and linked to other aspects of wellness.

An essential part of a broader, campus-wide approach to mental health is to use a holistic approach to address the diverse mental health needs of students by integrating academic, social, emotional, and financial support systems, creating a comprehensive framework for student well-being and resilience. Our desired impact for the Summit is to encourage shared responsibility across the campus, where mental health is embedded in institutional culture and student development, fostering a resilient, supportive community. In addition to plenary keynote speakers, the Summit will include:

a) 90-minute dialogic workshops: Workshops are intended to facilitate dialogue among attendees, with open-ended questions to encourage participation and discussions at key moments, as well as breakout group sessions.

b) Short 20-minute presentations: Each presentation session will be part of a 90-minute block, featuring three 20-minute presentations, followed by a 30-minute Q&A to invite feedback and discussion on all three presentations.
