How to Get Started

Thank you for your interest in longleaf pine funding assistance. Your request helps us determine the planting needs, but does not guarantee that funding will be available.

This funding request is open until June 1st, but applicants are encourage to apply early as funding opportunities may arise before the deadline. Applications will be reviewed and notifications anticipated in late fall 2025.

To complete your longleaf planting fund request, you will need the following information:
  • Landowner/project contact information
  • Map of planting area
  • Project site photo (optional)
  • GPS coordinates of planting site
  • Acres to be planted
  • Number of trees to be planted (minimum of 5,000 trees required to apply)
  • Estimated cost
  • Additional project information including project goals

As always, we encourage folks to order longleaf seedlings early! Waiting until you hear back about a cost-share application may be too late to guarantee seedlings.
