Great Pet Travel Survey 2023

Thank you for choosing to participate in our survey. We would like to learn more about where UK dogs travel to, how long they travel for and what parasite treatments and preventions are used for them; as well as dogs born outside the UK who move here. We would also like to understand how much information is out there for dog owners about diseases outside of the UK that could affect their dogs, as well as your opinions on dog travel regulations and how these could be improved. This information will help us to advise dog owners, vets and the government on how best we can protect dogs from exotic diseases.

 

We would especially like to hear from owners who have taken their dogs overseas this year or have had their dog arrive in the UK from another country (such as overseas rescues and imported breeds), but all dog owners (and those with no dogs) are encouraged to respond so we can learn more about the knowledge and beliefs in the UK population towards pet travel regulations.

 

The results of this survey will be anonymous and used for scientific publication and policy advice only. The results will not be used for commercial purposes or divulged to any third party. The survey should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. We would like to thank you for your participation, it is much appreciated and goes towards keeping our pets safe when on holiday or arriving into the UK to keep themselves and other pets free from exotic diseases.
