The Association for Animal Welfare Advancement is committed to action on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in animal welfare and we want you with us on this journey. As part of our ongoing commitment to DEI, The Association is conducting its second State of DEI in Animal Welfare Survey to gather valuable data on the strengths and challenges that exist for animal welfare in relation to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The Association is currently partnering with MSM Global Consulting, a consulting firm specializing in DEI and organizational change. MSM Global has been supporting the Association in its ongoing efforts to make diversity, equity, and inclusion a strategic imperative in animal welfare, and to support the animal welfare profession in fostering diverse, equitable, and inclusive environments for their workforce and for the communities they serve.

This survey is meant to give everyone in animal welfare an opportunity to share your experiences and perspectives in relation to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Your voice matters. We need to know what our people see in terms of strengths and weaknesses in your organization and in the industry overall, and to learn your needs, pain points, and expectations. Your response to this assessment will help us chart the right course forward.
