Survey One : Developing the PATHA website.  Whats needed?

Tēnā Koutou
Welcome to the first survey for the Professional Association of Trans Health Aotearoa (Working Group/Title Only).

At the ANZPATH conference in Sydney (2017) a selection of health professionals gathered to meet and network.  During the discussion, involving 30ppl, a small and interesting idea formed.  The group discussed ways to connect, educate, and support each other, as health professionals working with the trans, non-binary, MVPFAFF, takatāpui and intersex people/communities in Aotearoa.  Over the next 18months we have had a small group of health professionals continue to meet, outside of their busy work schedules, to further develop the concepts of a professional association and a dedicated website.

This initial survey is asking health professionals working in gender affirming health care, or any other well-being and peer programmes supporting trans, non-binary, takatāpui, MVPFAFF (pasifika) and intersex people/communities in Aotearoa, to complete a 7-10 minute survey .

With an aim of discovering the areas across Aotearoa other professionals are located, naming DHBs, PHOs, YOSS services, or other types of health and well-being clinics or services people are working in.  Discovering the gaps and needs that training, education and information can offer among many other possibilities.

This working group will then present the initial collection of ideas and findings at the Aotearoa New Zealand Trans Health Symposium, hosted at Waikato University on Saturday 4/5/19.  Welcoming the wider development and construction of the association and website.

As a small voluntary group of individuals we are very grateful for your experiences and expertise to inform this project.  If you have any questions about this survey please contact Tommy, a representative from the 'working group' on 0273320211 or email tommyreframe@gmail.com.
