Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Survey

The IEEE Computer Society Diversity & Inclusion Committee would love to hear your ideas for improving equity, diversity, and inclusion in computing.  Your responses may influence the activities and actions of the Committee.

Survey responses may be also be shared on the IEEE Computer Society Diversity & Inclusion website to further community discussion and action.
1.What more can and should be done to further equity, diversity, and inclusion in the computing profession?
2.Apart from academia, what role can and should the computing industry and corporate world play in making real differences in equity, diversity, and inclusion? For example, might a similar effort like the ASEE Engineering Diversity Pledge be initiated by industry leaders to complement efforts in academia?
3.What proactive diversity and inclusion efforts might professional societies, Technical Committees (TCs), and other organizations initiate and lead?
4.What actionable steps might every member of our computing community take individually to contribute to this worthy cause, within their own spheres of influence?
5.What are the major hurdles standing in the way of progress? And what are viable ways of overcoming the hurdles?
