We are preparing for the 2020-2021 school year and are in the process of electing a PTSA board to serve that term. If more than one candidate is interested in any position, the nominating committee will chose the most promising candidate. For most of the Chair positions, a committee could be formed with all interested candidates. For any questions, please contact Daniela at 702-688-1349
Currently, our monthly meetings are every first Friday of the month at 10:30 a.m.

Job Descriptions:
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
President Elect: Shadow and assist PTA president. Be present at PTSA meetings and support PTSA events. Build a relationship with school administrators. Take over as president the following school year. Attend PTA Council meetings with president. Perform president’s duties if president is unavailable.
Treasurer: Have custody of and be responsible for all funds of our PTSA, make disbursements as authorized, co-sign all checks, present monthly finance report at meeting. Count all money with two others and deposit the same day. Collect and keep a full and accurate account of receipts and expenditures. Develop, with the executive committee, an annual budget to be approved by general membership. Year-end reconciliation (AFR). Be present at PTSA meetings and support PTSA events.
Secretary: Record and distribute minutes of all PTSA and Executive Committee meetings. Be present at PTSA meetings and support PTSA events. Prepare agenda for meetings. Record volunteer hours to the district. Conduct correspondence.
Legislative VP: Follow the Legislative Session January – March and report to PTSA board and membership. Attend school board meetings often. Organize annual Legislative Breakfast at CCHS in January. Be present at PTSA meetings and support PTSA events.
Student Club VP: Guide the PTSA Student Club at activities throughout the year (monthly meetings, service projects, Red Ribbon Week, display case, etc.). Be present at PTSA meetings and support PTSA events.

CHAIRS
Awards & Grants: Award nominations in December (teacher, counselor, support staff, department, administrator, and volunteer of the year). Award presentation in January (prizes). Nominations need to be read and a winner determined.
Battle of the Bands: Connie agreed to run this awesome program another year, but we would like to invite interested people to shadow her and prepare to take over in the future.
Community: Be the liaison between the community and PTSA, ask for and collect donations from community.
Fundraiser: Run campaigns throughout the year to get families and community to support our No-Fuss-Fundraiser. All our PTSA events are sponsored with these funds.
Grad Night: Organize party at graduation time for the whole school. Event can be different from what has been done in the past (i.e. this year will be a movie night)
Membership: Maintain membership list, work with school’s head secretary to obtain reports from registration. Work closely with treasurer. Run membership drives throughout the year.
Reflections: A PTA sponsored art competition with seven categories (go to Utahpta.org for more info). Invite students to turn in entries. Find at least three judges for each of the seven categories. Present the winners at an event, hand out prizes, and pass those entries on to PTA Council.
Scholarships: CCHS PTSA awards currently two scholarships. Ask for applications from students, select best candidates to be presented to Executive Committee.
