Thank you for your interest in the 2025 SOWEGA-AHEC Pathway to Med School Program!
Since 2004, the SOWEGA-AHEC Pathway to Med School Program has exposed pre-med students from rural GA communities to primary care medicine. By providing them with shadowing and research experience, it has given them opportunities to strengthen themselves as medical school applicants and future providers in rural settings. Success of the program to prepare students for applying to medical school is evident by 91% of those Pathway alums, who have applied to and heard from medical school, gaining admittance.
Your online application places you one step closer to being a part of this great program. After completing the online application, you will need to submit a copy of your official transcript, via mail or email, by February 2.
