Part I. Participant Selection Criteria and Notification for Applicants

TARGET GROUP OF PARTICIPANTS

The training program targets a total of 40 participants (6-7 seats per GMS country), including
- 28 SME entrepreneurs, 4-5 seats per country; 
- 12 officials from Trade Promotion Organizations (TPOs, relevant governmental departments and business associations), 2 seats per country; 
- from six GMS countries, namely Cambodia, P.R.China (Yunnan and Guangxi), Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.

Qualification of Applicants 
- Be able to communicate (speak, understand, read and write) at a professional level in English;
- Interested in trade through e-commerce with other GMS countries and beyond; 
- Have basic knowledge of e-commerce and basic computer skills;
- Have online shopping experiences;
- Have the sufficient professional capacity to actively participate in cross-culturally at regional and international levels;
- Be able to commit to attending the entire training cycle from August to November 2022.  

In particular, for the group of entrepreneurs, the applicants should:
- Have at least three years of experience of business experience; 
- Have been involved in the export business and are highly interested in expanding market/innovating business through e-commerce;
- Are open-minded with new trends of technology and actively practicing business innovation;
- Have at least a high school or bachelor’s degree

For the group of Officials from Trade Promotion Organizations (TPOs), the applicants/nominees should: 

- Have been involved in international trade promotion, export products and business development, e-commerce development and promotion;
- Have experience in international and regional cooperation for trade promotion, preferably with experiences coordinating with Trade -Promotion and Business Development Services organizations in GMS countries;
- Have at least a bachelor’s degree.
 

TRAINING DURATION 

The program contains activities in three phases and requires full participation in all training cycles after being selected as participants. 

> Phase I: August 29-September 14, 2022 | 11-day | Zoom

1) Pre-Training Meeting on August 25, 2022 at 14:30 (Bangkok time)
To introduce the training arrangement and rules; and to inform participants to prepare Self-Introduction (PPT format) and conduct a self-assessment survey. 
 
2) Two-week online training course via Zoom
August 29-September 14, 2022, via Zoom.
 
> Phase II: September 15-November 20, 2022 | GMS countries 

Action plan implementation by training participants in respective GMS countries within 2 months after the training, which includes organizing the localized workshops (TPOs) and developing Export E-Market Plan.

> Phase III: Nov 24-25, 2022 (2 full-day) | Zoom | Synthesis & Evaluation workshop to share action plan results, progress, best practices, lesson learned and the way forward.
