Alliance 2025 Mentorship Lecture and Award in Honor of Frances M. Maitland Application

The Mentorship Lecture and Award in Honor of Frances M. Maitland recognizes individuals who have demonstrated a dedication to the professional development of others through mentorship, collaboration, and support. This award includes a plaque, monetary gift, and the opportunity to deliver a 10-15 minute presentation during the awards ceremony at the Alliance Annual Conference, Jan. 8-11, 2025 in Orlando, FL.

All nominations must be submitted electronically using this online submission site no later than 11:59 p.m. EDT on Thursday, August 29, 2024.

Nomination Criteria:
Please note both nominations and self-nominations are accepted. Current members of the Alliance Board are not eligible to nominate individuals for this award.

Must be an active (including emeritus) Alliance member.
Must not currently sit on the Alliance Board of Directors.
Must not be a past recipient of the award.
Must provide a 10-15 minute presentation during the awards ceremony at the Alliance Annual Conference focused on mentoring that is inspirational/motivational in tone.

To complete your application the following information is needed:

Statement by nominator of relationship (Maximum of 2 single-spaced pages). If self-nominating, this is not required.
Brief biographical sketch of nominee (to be submitted by the nominee)
Personal views on mentoring and service (to be submitted by the nominee)
Supporting letters (Maximum of 2)

By providing the award application, the nominee acknowledges that they are being nominated for the award and will be required to attend the 2025 Alliance Annual Conference to deliver a 10-15 minute presentation focused on mentoring that is inspirational/motivational in tone.
